Magnesium EDTA Partially Chelated
Description
Magnesium EDTA partially chelated is a source of magnesium for agricultural or horticultural crops. It can be used to correct deficiencies in soil or in artificial substrates.
Mode of Action
Magnesium EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) forms stable complexes with magnesium ions. In partially chelated formulations, not all magnesium ions are bound to EDTA molecules, allowing for both chelated and free magnesium ions to be present. Chelation enhances the solubility and stability of magnesium, protecting it from precipitation or fixation in the soil.
Applications
Magnesium EDTA partially chelated formulations can be applied directly to the soil as granules, powder, or liquid solutions. Incorporate the product into the soil during land preparation or apply it as a top dressing to provide magnesium supplementation to crops.
